Big Ideas: Be sure you can distinguish between the differences of how to find and how to represent graphically the concepts of holes, vertical asymptotes and horizontal asymptotes.

Background Knowledge: By now you should be, but if you are not, you REALLY REALLY REALLY need to be an EXPERT at factoring (See Unit 3, Factoring). This skill is essential to properly graphing, adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing rational functions....yeah, ALL of that!!
